Ring Dips

- Triceps
Dipping on gymnastic rings adds constant instability to the standard dip pattern, since the rings can drift outward or wobble unless the shoulders and triceps actively control them throughout the rep. That instability is what makes ring dips noticeably harder than the same movement on fixed parallel bars.
How to Do the Ring Dips
- Start by hanging from the rings with your arms fully extended and your body straight.
- Lower your body by bending your elbows until your shoulders are below your elbows.
- Push yourself back up to the starting position by straightening your arms.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Muscles Worked
The Ring Dips primarily targets the Triceps, with Chest as the primary synergist muscle group, along with the Shoulders.
