Barbell Jm Bench Press
- Category
- Upper Arms
- Equipment
- Barbell
- Target
- Triceps
The JM press blends a close-grip bench press with a skull crusher, stopping partway through the descent rather than lowering all the way to the forehead. That hybrid range keeps constant tension on the triceps without the joint stress of a full skull crusher. It takes some practice to find the right stopping point, so start light until the groove feels natural.
How to Do the Barbell Jm Bench Press
- Lie flat on a bench with your feet flat on the ground and your back pressed against the bench.
- Grasp the barbell with an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
- Lower the barbell to your chest, keeping your elbows tucked in close to your body.
- Push the barbell back up to the starting position, fully extending your arms.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
