EZ Barbell Decline Triceps Extension
- Category
- Upper Arms
- Equipment
- EZ Barbell
- Target
- Triceps
Doing a skull crusher on a decline bench changes the angle the triceps get loaded through, generally putting more constant tension on the muscle since gravity's pull works against the extension for a longer part of the range than a flat-bench version. It's a more advanced variation — the decline angle makes the bottom position, right by the forehead, less forgiving if the elbows flare.
How to Do the EZ Barbell Decline Triceps Extension
- Lie on a decline bench with your head lower than your feet and your feet secured.
- Hold the ez barbell with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
- Extend your arms fully, keeping your elbows close to your head.
- Lower the barbell slowly towards your forehead, bending your elbows.
- Pause for a moment, then extend your arms back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
