Exercise 0978 · REF TFA88iB
Band front raises hit the front delts through shoulder flexion, with the band adding resistance that builds through the lift instead of staying constant like a dumbbell would. It's an easy exercise to overdo since the front delts already get plenty of indirect work from pressing, so this is better used sparingly than as a program staple. Keep the reps slow and avoid using back arch to help lift the band.
How to Do the Band Front Raise
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the band in front of your thighs with your palms facing down.
- Keep your arms straight and slowly raise them forward until they are parallel to the ground.
- Pause for a moment at the top, then slowly lower your arms back down to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Muscles Worked
The Band Front Raise primarily targets the Delts, with Triceps as the primary synergist muscle group, along with the Upper Back.
