Kettlebell One Arm Military Press To The Side

Pressing out to the side rather than straight overhead changes the shoulder's leverage and puts more demand on the lateral delt and the obliques resisting the sideways pull of the bell. It's an unusual angle most people never train, which is exactly why it exposes weak points a standard press won't. Keep the reps light until the joint gets used to the path.
How to Do the Kettlebell One Arm Military Press To The Side
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a kettlebell in one hand at shoulder height.
- Engage your core and keep your back straight.
- Press the kettlebell overhead, extending your arm fully.
- Pause for a moment at the top, then slowly lower the kettlebell back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
