Lever Hip Extension V. 2 exercise animation

Lever Hip Extension V. 2

Category
Upper Legs
Target
Glutes

This hip extension variation trains glute activation through a fixed arc, similar in intent to a hip thrust but with the machine controlling the path instead of a barbell across the hips. That fixed path makes it a good option for beginners still learning to feel the glutes fire without worrying about balancing a loaded bar.

How to Do the Lever Hip Extension V. 2

  1. Adjust the machine to fit your body and sit on it with your back against the backrest.
  2. Place your feet on the footrests and grip the handles for stability.
  3. Engage your glutes and hamstrings, then push against the footrests to extend your hips and raise your legs backward.
  4. Pause for a moment at the top, then slowly lower your legs back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
