Delts

This front raise variation usually changes grip or rep tempo, but the target stays the same — the front deltoid, lifted through a controlled arc rather than a swing. Because the front delts already get heavy indirect work from pressing movements, this is best used sparingly rather than as a staple. Strict tempo matters more here than the amount of weight on the dumbbells.

How to Do the Dumbbell Front Raise V. 2

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing your thighs.
  2. Keep your back straight and engage your core.
  3. Slowly lift the dumbbells in front of you, with your arms straight, until they are at shoulder level.
  4. Pause for a moment at the top, then slowly lower the dumbbells back down to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
